What a beautiful time of year! The falling leaves are proof that winter is just around the corner. Beautiful centerpieces can be created easily using fresh fruit and leaves from the yard.

An arrangement of pears makes a wonderful centerpiece. Choose fruit in bright green, golden yellow, or russet red -- either fresh or artificial -- and pile into a pretty bowl.

Carry the fall theme through with some oak leaves (or any other type of fall leaf), acorns, and mini crab apples for a bit more color. All finished!

Nancy DeClue's Retirement Party - Pugh's Flowers

Big Shoes to Fill!
Well it is so hard to say goodbye to such a wonderful person as Nancy DeClue! While we are so happy that she will be with her family after her retirement from Pugh's, her flower family will miss her beyond words. Nancy is a wonderful example of perseverance and loyalty. She has the true heart of a servant as evidenced by 23 years of dedicated service to Pugh's Flowers. Besides having a true talent with the art of arranging flowers she has a caring and compassionate nature that has won her friends in all walks of life. She is working one more week so go by the Poplar Store to wish her well this week. September 6 is her last day.
